So, being one of the lucky ones, I am feeling pretty normal. The only difference is that my pants are feeling incredibly tight and I have to at least unbutton the first button to feel comfortable. However, I'm not anywhere near needing maternity clothes as of yet.
I've been trying to keep on track of doing speed walks as often as possible, but I don't want to go by myself so I have to get Paul to come with me. Sometimes it's easy, and sometimes it's difficult. Hehe. However, when I do get him out of the house he seems to really enjoy the walk and the fresh air. Not to mention some time together away from our computers. :)
This Saturday my sweet mother invited Paul, Austin, and me to go hiking at the Grand Canyon with her. The last time we went to the Grand Canyon was when I was 7ish, so I didn't remember it at all. We had a great time looking at this amazingly huge Canyon from way up high.
Gorgeous Views
Mine.
Why does Paul look the same in all of these pictures?
Paul thought it would be funny to take a picture of me taking a picture. I think it was just an excuse to check out my buns. Just sayin'.
Who took this pic? That's right, Paul did. Why? "The Ledge" He probably pointed out at least 5 different ledges he wanted to climb up to.
This was probably one of Paul's favorite places during the trip. He practically climbed all inside and outside of this building. My mom has more photos of him climbing, I only have this one.
My awesome pose. So awesome you can't see my face. I call it, "Faceless."
Loved this window. My fave.
Beautiful orange/yellow tree below us. A great view from up here as well. We are about 1 mile into the hike.
The orange yellow tree! We passed by it further down the trail. :)
My leaves.
So Paul and I ended up walking about 3 miles total (down and back up). Aust and Mom walked the 5 miles down to the waterfall and 5 miles back up. And let me tell you ~ it is 5 miles DOWN (no flat area) and 5 miles UP. They were pretty much beat to the bone.
How Big Is Baby?
Baby is as big as a plum! About 2.1 inches.

You may not need the maternity pants yet, but I recommend getting them. It's worth it because you have to get them at some point and if it helps you be a bit more comfortable now then that's great. It's silly to buy clothes that you're only gonna wear for 4-5 months, but that's how it is when your pregnant, so get some extra use out of them.
The Grand Canyon is so awesome! What a fun trip. SO GLAD you're not nauseous anymore. Yay!
Even when I was big and pregnant, I wasn't much of a fan of maternity clothes. I just bought regular clothes a size or two bigger and they were much more flattering. oldnavy.com has some different types of maternity pants, that look like normal jeans! Elastic waistband anything is your friend, or those belly bands that allow you to unbutton your regular pants but still keep them up. Or you could always use a rubber band if you have your button undone to keep your pants falling off. I used to do that, haha.
Sorry this turned into a novel.
Your pictures totally made me want to go to the grand canyon!
I actually never bought maternity pants, but I did make some belly bands so I could keep wearing my regular pants. I still have tons of fabric if you're interested.
