Veneer Headboard and New Glider

I've been daydreaming lately on how to spruce up my home while still keeping it cheap. One thing that can really give your bedroom a great look is a headboard! And, let's just be honest, a lot of headboards are not inexpensive.

So I found this DIY headboard tutorial (well, not really a tutorial, but it kind of explains the step) on BHG. And I feel it's the perfect headboard for our room. I really love the wicker look and feel, and this is just one step down from that. :) I've decided to just save the tutorial for now and then do the headboard later when I'm feeling more crafty and confident.

So, being bored, I decided to Photoshop the headboard in. Hehe. I apologize that it isn't the greatest work in the world, but it gave me an idea of what it would look like.

AFTER

I also Photoshopped the glider that super awesome Chelsea gave us for free just the other day! (She also gave us a carseat that doesn't expire for another couple of years. THANKS CHELSEA!) I'm trying to figure out what color I want the fabric to be. I really like this light green color and I think I'll want it to be a solid tone instead of having some sort of pattern on it. I'm really loving light greens lately as it's such a fresh and inviting color. Especially when partnered up with white.

What do you think?

I really like that green. I agree with you, very fresh looking. The head board is very cute. It looks really nice. Good photoshopping skills too. I couldn't tell, but I'm not a profesional.
