The Pregnant Diaries - Week 8

Another week of some queasiness. Thursday morning the sickness finally defeated me. I was pretty sad about that because I totally thought I had conquered it! Luckily, it was the only time I vomited. I'm not sure exactly what I did different that brought it on. Maybe I didn't drink or eat enough the night before. Who knows?!

One of my most random cravings this week was fish sticks. Right before coming home from work I told Paul I HAD to have fish sticks for dinner. I went to the store and bought fish sticks and tartar sauce right away. After we ate them, I didn't care much for them anymore. Completely random.

I also found that Creamies made me feel like I was normal again while eating them, but afterwards I felt like my same nauseated self. :)

Other than that, the only really eventful thing that we did all weekend was helping Paul's brother Mark out with his shed. And these boys talked so much they hardly got anything done, but it was pretty fun nonetheless. I was the "Luke Watcher" of the day. So I pretty much chased him around everywhere to make sure he was not getting into things that he shouldn't (like grabbing handfuls of nails and wandering outside of the yard trying to touch the exhaust pipe on the car).

Melissa and Mark had the cutest little pumpkins growing in their yard!

Luke LOVED climbing the ladder. Madelyn had actually named the ladder in the past, but I forget what they called it. I spent a lot of time by Luke on that ladder making sure he wouldn't fall and also having to remove him a few times.

Mark and Paul, chippin' away at the roof of the shed! (More like hammering the shingles on.)

And here is Luke -- yep! By the ladder again. He saw a spider and was looking for it.

The boys. They LOOK like they are working, but you should see how hard their mouths are working.

Luke liked to be inside the shed, finding things he could grab. I'm not quite sure what he is doing here. LOL

I just like this pic because they're just barely peeking out from under the layer.

Sorry Melissa! I'm bad! I wanted a picture of him at the top. He just loved climbing it so much.

After helping on the roof I went to Marissa's baby shower, which was seriously a blast from the past. A lot of gals I knew from the Married Ward were there! It was really great talking to all of them. I also found out that Maylene (my VT partner waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay in the past) was also 8 weeks along. Just like me!!

Cravings
Pickles, Fish Sticks

How Big is Baby?
A Raspberry!!!! And who DOESN'T love raspberries? Sooo tasty. Baby is about .63 inches long and moving their arms and legs like crazy!

Ah!! Love the pictures!! I might have to steal a couple. And BLESS YOU for chasing Luke around. I know how hard that is. It's OK that he was on the ladder, haha. My kids are monkeys. Madelyn used to call it "the reach". She used to follow Mark up onto the roof in ABQ. We really appreciate you coming up to help with the shingling!! :)

PS. Call Mark and he can phone in a prescription for anti-nausea meds. Seriously!! You don't want another month of feeling yucky.
